Brasileiros.atTerms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Brasileiros.at website ("Site", "Platform"), an online community for Brazilians living in Austria. By accessing or using the Site, you fully agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. About the Platform
Brasileiros.at is a collaborative space organized by Austrian cities, where users can post topics, comment, like, and rate content related to life as a Brazilian in Austria (housing, paperwork, healthcare, culture, events, and more).
2. Registration and Account
To publish content, you must create an account by providing a name and email address, or by authenticating through a third party (e.g., Google). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Information provided during registration must be true, complete, and up to date.
3. User Conduct
By using the Site, you agree not to post content that: (a) is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, offensive, or incites violence or hatred; (b) infringes third parties' intellectual property or image rights; (c) contains spam, scams, phishing, or unauthorized advertising; (d) contains third parties' personal data without their consent; (e) attempts to compromise the security or operation of the Platform.
4. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of the content you post (topics, comments, and other contributions), but you grant Brasileiros.at a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content within the Platform for as long as it remains published. Topics may be marked public or private (visible only to logged-in users), at the author's choice.
5. Moderation
Every published topic is reviewed by the administrative team before becoming publicly visible, and may be approved, rejected, or removed at any time, with or without justification, if it violates these Terms or applicable law. Comments, likes, and ratings may also be removed at the administration's discretion.
6. Platform Intellectual Property
The brand, logo, layout, source code, and other elements of the Site, except for user-generated content, belong to Brasileiros.at or its licensors, and may not be reproduced without prior authorization.
7. Disclaimer
Content posted by users reflects solely the opinion of its authors and does not represent the position of Brasileiros.at. Information about health, paperwork, legal, or financial matters is provided for informational purposes only and does not replace qualified professional advice. Use of the Platform is at the user's own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Brasileiros.at is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Platform, including any unavailability, data loss, or content posted by third parties.
9. Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate, temporarily or permanently, the access of any user who violates these Terms, without prior notice. You may request the closure of your account and the deletion of your data at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated through the Site. Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Austria, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights that may apply in the user's country of residence within the European Union.
